More than just one of the nation's top business centers, Columbus is a mixture of many different parts of America, situated at the spot where the so-called "Bible Belt" meets the varied cultures of the Great Plains and Appalachia.

Situated on the north bank of the Ohio River, Cincinnati distinguished itself as the only U.S.
On the 7th (Sun), contemplate the long history of U.S. Grant Birthplace, then examine the collection at American Sign Museum, then get engrossed in the history at National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Christ Church Cathedral. On the 8th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: wander the streets of Mount Adams, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum, and then test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms.

Step off the beaten path and head to Johnson's Island Confederate Cemetery and Thomas Edison Birthplace. Your inner history buff will appreciate Eleutheros Cooke House and Garden and USS Cod Submarine Memorial. Venture out of the city with trips to Castalia Quarry Reserve (in Castalia) and Marblehead Lighthouse State Park (in Marblehead).
