Seaside is a city in Clatsop County, Oregon, United States. Kids will enjoy Haystack Rock and Seaside Aquarium. Change things up with a short trip to Manzanita Beach in Manzanita (about 30 minutes away). A town that survives on the sea, Newport's population of just over 10,000 supports a healthy commercial fishing industry.
Family-friendly places like Oregon Coast Aquarium and Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area will thrill your kids. Explore Newport's surroundings by going to Yachats (Cape Perpetua Visitor Center - Siuslaw National Forest & Yachats coastline). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, engage your brain at Hatfield Marine Science Center, enjoy the sand and surf at Nye Beach, and stroll around Whale Park.
