8 days in Page & Sedona Itinerary

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.

Kids will appreciate attractions like Antelope Canyon and Gunfighter Canyon. Change things up with these side-trips from Page: Marble Canyon (in Marble Canyon), Grand Canyon National Park (Navajo Bridge, Bright Angel Point, &more) and Nautilus Rock (in Kanab). The Route module shows you all the different ways you can get to Page. August in Page sees daily highs of 93°F and lows of 69°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Sedona.

Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.

Start off your visit on the 7th (Wed): get to know the resident critters at Bearizona Wildlife Park and then admire all the interesting features of Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179). On the 8th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the striking landscape at Cathedral Rock, take in the dramatic natural features at Bell Rock, and then see the world from above with a helicopter tour.

Traveling by car from Page to Sedona takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle and bus; or do a combination of flight and bus. In August, daytime highs in Sedona are 89°F, while nighttime lows are 66°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 9th (Fri) to allow time for the car ride back home.
