The heart of Pennsylvania's famous "Dutch Country," Lancaster is one of the nation's oldest inland cities, founded in 1730.
Take a break from the city and head to Water's Edge Mini-Golf and Northwest Lancaster County River Trail. Step off the beaten path and head to Rock Ford Plantation and Li'l Country Store and Miniature Horse Farm. Next up on the itinerary: tour the pleasant surroundings at Long's Park, try for a hole-in-one at Village Greens Miniature Golf, examine the collection at Biblical Tabernacle Reproduction, and sample the tasty concoctions at Lancaster Brewing Company.

Discover how to plan a Lancaster trip in just a few steps with Inspirock's itinerary builder.

Philadelphia to Lancaster is an approximately 1.5-hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Philadelphia in November, plan for little chillier nights in Lancaster, with lows around 34°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Wed) early enough to take a train back home.
