A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Noah Bud Ogle Cabin and Little Greenbrier School will appeal to history buffs. Do your shopping at Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community and Thistle Dew!. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Pigeon Forge: Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Abrams Falls Trail & Clingmans Dome), Rafting in the Smokies (in Hartford) and The Lost Sea Adventure (in Sweetwater). There's still lots to do: get a new perspective on things with Blue Heron Whitewater, take in the dramatic scenery at Cataract Falls, examine the collection at Hollywood Star Cars Museum, and get in on the family fun at Smoky Mountain River Rat Tubing.

To find photos, reviews, other places to visit, and tourist information, read Pigeon Forge sightseeing planning site .

In July, daytime highs in Pigeon Forge are 87°F, while nighttime lows are 69°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
