Maine's biggest and perhaps most vibrant city, Portland was established as a fishing village in 1633 and grew to become New England's largest port.

Escape the urban bustle at Casco Bay and Perkins Cove. Get some historical perspective at Marginal Way Walkway and Eastern Cemetery. Venture out of the city with trips to Salem (Phillips House, Salem Witch Museum, &more), Ogunquit Beach (in Ogunquit) and Boston (Freedom Trail & North End).
