On the 9th (Mon), brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Casa Bacardi, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Sitio Histórico de San Juan, and then wander the streets of Old San Juan. On the next day, let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral Metropolitana Basilica de San Juan Bautista, and finally make a trip to Plaza de la Catedral.

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
On the 11th (Wed), stroll through Flamenco Beach. On the 12th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll through Playa Punta Soldado Beach, then kick back and relax at Zoni Beach, and then step off the mainland to explore Culebrita Island.

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
On the 14th (Sat), explore the activities along Sun Bay Beach and then take a leisurely stroll along Malecon. Keep things going the next day: get great views at Puerto Ferro Lighthouse and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Vieques National Wildlife Refuge.
