Culebra — 2 nights

Little Island

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Tue): kick back and relax at Flamenco Beach. On the 28th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, head off the coast to Culebrita, and then visit a coastal fixture at Culebrita Lighthouse.

Isla de Vieques — 2 nights

Isla Nena

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Thu): add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour and then kick back and relax at Balneario Sun Bay. On the 30th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: tour the pleasant surroundings at Vieques National Wildlife Refuge, then take in the waterfront at Mosquito Pier, and then kick back and relax at Playa Media Luna.

San Juan — 3 nights

Walled City

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
Take a break from San Juan with a short trip to El Yunque National Forest in El Yunque National Forest, about 1h 10 min away. There's much more to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Sitio Histórico de San Juan, wander the streets of Old San Juan, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral Basilica Menor de San Juan Bautista, and skim along the rocks with a canyoning and rapelling tour.
