Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S.
Step out of San Juan with an excursion to Luquillo Beach in Luquillo--about 44 minutes away. There's lots more to do: stroll through Condado Beach, pause for some serene contemplation at Catedral Metropolitana Basilica de San Juan Bautista, indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour, and contemplate the long history of Sitio Histórico de San Juan.
