San Juan — 2 nights

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
We've included these beaches for you: Playa Luquillo and Balneario Luquillo. Explore hidden gems such as Paseo de la Princesa and Museum of History, Anthropology and Art. There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Old San Juan, steep yourself in history at Sitio Histórico de San Juan, and get some thrills out on the water with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure.

Isla de Vieques — 2 nights

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Sun): enjoy the sand and surf at Balneario Sun Bay and then add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour. On the 11th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Playa La Chiva and then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Caracas.

Fly from San Juan to Isla de Vieques in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of shuttle, taxi, and ferry. In July, plan for daily highs up to 88°F, and evening lows to 79°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 11th (Mon) early enough to catch the flight to Culebra.

Culebra — 3 nights

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Tue): get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports and then head off the coast to Culebrita. Here are some ideas for day two: tour the pleasant surroundings at Flamenco Beach.

Traveling by flight from Isla de Vieques to Culebra takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry. July in Culebra sees daily highs of 90°F and lows of 80°F at night. On the 14th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly back home.
