A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
On the 26th (Wed), tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Rompe Olas and then kick back and relax at Crashboat Beach.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. Kick off your visit on the 28th (Fri): examine the collection at Parque de Bombas, appreciate the history behind Museo Castillo Serralles, then get engrossed in the history at Museo de Arte de Ponce, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of our Lady of Guadaloupe.

Drive from Rincon to Ponce in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car, flight, and shuttle. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Rincon in June: high temperatures in Ponce hover around 83°F and lows are around 76°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 28th (Fri) so you can go by car to San Juan.

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Sat): contemplate the long history of Sitio Histórico de San Juan, visit Old San Juan, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Paseo de la Princesa. Here are some ideas for day two: stroll the grounds of Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and then whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.

You can drive from Ponce to San Juan in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a shuttle. While traveling from Ponce, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in San Juan, ranging from highs of 89°F to lows of 78°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Culebra.

Little Island

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Tamarindo Beach and Playa Punta Soldado Beach. Relax by the water at Flamenco Beach and Zoni Beach. And it doesn't end there: enjoy the sand and surf at Carlos Rosario Beach, step off the mainland to explore Culebrita Island, and see the interesting displays at Museo Historico de Culebra.

Getting from San Juan to Culebra by flight takes about 2 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of shuttle and ferry. In June, plan for daily highs up to 89°F, and evening lows to 79°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
