With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Wed): examine the collection at Museo Historico de Culebra, enjoy the sand and surf at Zoni Beach, and then head off the coast to Culebrita Island. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stroll through Playa Punta Soldado Beach, then stroll through Carlos Rosario Beach, and then kick back and relax at Tamarindo Beach.

Salt Lake City, USA to Culebra is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight, shuttle, and ferry; or do a combination of flight and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 3 hours traveling from Salt Lake City to Culebra. Expect warmer temperatures when traveling from Salt Lake City in April; daily highs in Culebra reach 85°F and lows reach 76°F. For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Fri): enjoy the sand and surf at Secret Beach, see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and then take in the waterfront at Malecon. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take a leisurely stroll along Mosquito Pier, enjoy the sand and surf at Navio Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Media Luna Beach.

Traveling by combination of flight and car from Culebra to Isla de Vieques takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry. April in Isla de Vieques sees daily highs of 85°F and lows of 75°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sat) so you can travel to Rincon.

A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Sun): enjoy the sea views from El Faro Lighthouse, then stroll through Sandy Beach, and then discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S.
On the 22nd (Mon), stroll through Balneario Luquillo, then kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, and then take a memorable tour with Tours. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: kick back and relax at Ocean Park Beach.
