Many visitors describe their Charleston holiday as a warm embrace by an old, dear friend--who lived about 200 years ago.
Shop till you drop at Robert Lange Studios and One Of A Kind. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Magnolia Plantation & Gardens and Nathaniel Russell House. Take a break from Charleston with a short trip to The Center for Birds of Prey in Awendaw, about 38 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: enjoy the sand and surf at Folly Beach Public Beach, go on a hair-raising tour with a ghost and vampire tour, see the interesting displays at Patriots Point, and contemplate the long history of Fort Sumter National Monument.

Getting from Charlotte to Charleston by flight takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of flight and car. Traveling from Charlotte in April, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit warmer in Charleston, with lows of 57°F.
