With coastline on the west, south, and east, Newport is a maritime city with a rich history.
Attractions like Cliff Walk and International Tennis Hall of Fame make great kid-friendly stops. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Rosecliff and Rough Point Museum. Step out of Newport to go to Narragansett and see Fishing Charters & Tours, which is approximately 36 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Chateau-sur-Mer, stroll around Fort Adams State Park, immerse yourself in nature at Fort Wetherill State Park, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Touro Synagogue.
