Best known for its 1692 witch trials, Salem has a number of significant historical sites, a bustling downtown, and many witch-themed attractions.

Venture out of the city with trips to Rockport (Halibut Point State Park & Bearskin Neck), Crane Beach (in Ipswich) and Gloucester (Dolphin & Whale Watching, Good Harbor Beach, &more). There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at The House of the Seven Gables, examine the collection at Salem Witch Museum, walk around Salem Witch Trials Memorial, and stroll the grounds of Old Burying Point Cemetery.
