The Alamo City

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Museum-lovers will appreciate The Alamo and National Museum of the Pacific War. Visit Mission San Jose and King William Historic District for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting San Antonio side-trips: Austin (Bullock Texas State History Museum, Texas State Capitol, &more) and Fredericksburg (Good Art Company Art Gallery & Agave Gallery Fine Art). Next up on the itinerary: go for a walk through The San Antonio River Walk, admire the architecture and history at Mission San Juan, admire the masterpieces at McNay Art Museum, and browse the exhibits of The Guenther House Museum.
