San Francisco is a top holiday destination featuring scenic beauty and great ethnic and cultural diversity.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Muir Woods National Monument and Armstrong Redwood State Reserve. Venture out of the city with trips to Balloon Rides (in Napa), V. Sattui Winery (in St. Helena) and Castello di Amorosa (in Calistoga). Dedicate the 7th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: step off the mainland to explore Alcatraz Island, explore the activities along San Francisco Bay, get your game on at Pee Wee Golf & Arcade, and have fun and explore at Exploratorium.
