Plan for cooler temperatures traveling from Miami in December, with highs in San Francisco at 59°F and lows at 45°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Napa.

America's Wine Country

Located just 80 km (50 mi) north of San Francisco, Napa sits at the southern end of the scenic Napa Valley, one of the world's major wine regions.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Napa: St. Helena (Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards & VGS Chateau Potelle) and Glen Ellen (Benziger Family Winery & Jack London State Historic Park). Dedicate the 28th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's much more to do: view the masterpieces at Mumm Napa, learn about winemaking at Conn Creek Winery, and walk around Sonoma Plaza.

Drive from San Francisco to Napa in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of subway and bus; or take a bus. Expect little chillier evenings in Napa when traveling from San Francisco in December, with lows around 35°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Fri) early enough to catch the flight to Anaheim.
