Attractions like Oswald West State Park and Haystack Rock make great kid-friendly stops. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Cannon Beach: Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area (in Seaside) and Astoria (Fort Clatsop National Memorial & Astoria Column). Start off your visit on the 29th (Fri): identify plant and animal life at South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve, then kick back and relax at Coquille Point, then explore the striking landscape at Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint, and finally look for gifts at Cranberry Sweets.
