Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Visiting Snoqualmie Falls and Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge will get you outdoors. Appreciate the collections at Chihuly Garden and Glass and Museum of Glass. Venture out of the city with trips to Tolmie State Park (in Olympia), Point No Point Lighthouse (in Hansville) and Tacoma (Chihuly Bridge of Glass, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, & more). There's much more to do: admire the natural beauty at Bloedel Reserve, look for all kinds of wild species at Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area, tour the pleasant surroundings at Kerry Park, and take in the waterfront at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks.

Expect a daytime high around 50°F in February, and nighttime lows around 40°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
