Keystone — 2 nights

Fewer than 400 people call Keystone home year-round, but the population explodes in summer when crowds flock to nearby Mount Rushmore.
Bring the kids along to Custer State Park and Presidential Trail. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Keystone: Custer (Sylvan Lake & Wildlife Loop Road). Pack the 5th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Rushmore Tramway Adventures. Next up on the itinerary: take in the awesome beauty at Black Elk Peak.
