Billings is the largest city in the state of Montana, and is the principal city of the Billings Metropolitan Area with a population of 166,855.Billings is located in the south-eastern portion of the state and is the seat of Yellowstone County, which had a 2015 population of 157,048. Change things up with these side-trips from Billings: Big Horn County Historical Museum (in Hardin) and Pompeys Pillar National Monument (in Pompeys Pillar). Crow Agency is a census-designated place (CDP) in Big Horn County, Montana, United States and is near the actual location for the Little Bighorn National Monument and re-enactment produced by the Real Bird family known as Battle of the Little Bighorn Reenactment. Start off your visit on the 15th (Tue): take in the history at Custer Battlefield Museum, witness the site of a historic battle at Custer Battlefield Trading Company, and then take in the history at Little Bighorn Battlefield.
