Saugatuck — 2 nights

Saugatuck is a city in Allegan County in the U.S. state of Michigan. You'll explore and learn at Amazwi Contemporary Art and Water Street Gallery. Step off the beaten path and head to The Pink Patio and Kalamazoo River. Change things up with a short trip to Bittersweet Ski Resort in Otsego (about 48 minutes away). The adventure continues: sample the fine beverages at Virtue Cider, learn about winemaking at Cogdal Vineyards, and contemplate the waterfront views at North Beach.

Battle Creek is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan, in northwest Calhoun County, at the confluence of the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek rivers. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Dr. John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center and W. K. Kellogg Manor House. Do some cultural sightseeing at St. Julian Winery and Honolulu House. There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at American Museum of Magic, admire the local landmark of Brooks Memorial Fountain, see the interesting displays at U.S. Postal Museum, and stroll through Kellogg Bird Sanctuary.
