Helena — 1 night

Helena is the capital city of the U.S. state of Montana and the county seat of Lewis and Clark County. Start off your visit on the 19th (Sun): get a sense of history and politics at Montana State Capitol and then hike along Mount Helena. Keep things going the next day: take an in-depth tour of Montana Historical Society Museum, then explore the striking landscape of Gates of the Mountains, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Helena.
