The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
On the 21st (Mon), contemplate the long history of The Peabody Ducks, steep yourself in history at Sun Studio, get engrossed in the history at National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel, appreciate the extensive heritage of Beale Street, then look for gifts at Lansky, and finally explore the different monuments and memorials at Memphis National Cemetery.

Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Tue): examine the collection at RCA Studio B, contemplate the long history of Lotz House Museum, then examine the collection at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and finally contemplate the long history of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage.
