The Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains

Nestled in the lush, wooded forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s premier mountain resort destination.
Get in touch with nature at River Rafting & Tubing and Mount LeConte. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at The Old Mill Candy Kitchen and Goats on the Roof. Change things up with these side-trips from Gatlinburg: Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Foothills Parkway Southwest Parking & Cades Cove). There's still lots to do: sample the fine beverages at Sugarlands Distilling Company, look for all kinds of wild species at Roaring Fork, learn about winemaking at Tennessee Homemade Wines, and whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.
