Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.
Attractions like Texas State Capitol and Barton Springs Pool make great kid-friendly stops. There's lots more to do: get your game on at The Escape Game Austin, get great views at Mount Bonnell, tour the water at your own pace with Cobalt Boat Rental, and take in the views from Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats.

To see more things to do and more tourist information, you can read our Austin vacation planner.

Lincoln to Austin is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight; or drive. Plan for much hotter temperatures traveling from Lincoln in March, with highs in Austin at 75°F and lows at 53°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Sun) early enough to go by car to San Antonio.
