Washington DC to Las Vegas is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Washington DC to Las Vegas, you'll gain 3 hours due to the time zone difference. Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from Washington DC in May: high temperatures in Las Vegas hover around 87°F and lows are around 64°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Page.

Traveling by car from Page to Moab takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle, bus, and car. Traveling from Page in May, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be little chillier in Moab, with lows of 49°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Bryce Canyon National Park.

You can find hoodoos--rock pillars formed by erosion--all around the world, but those of Bryce Canyon National Park remain the standard bearers thanks to their bright red color, tall stature, and arrangement in large amphitheaters.

Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): trek along Queen's Garden Trail and then get great views at Inspiration Point.

Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Zion National Park.

You can drive from Bryce Canyon National Park to Zion National Park in 3 hours. In May, Zion National Park is somewhat warmer than Bryce Canyon National Park - with highs of 76°F and lows of 41°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Sedona.

Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.

On the 10th (Mon), take in the spiritual surroundings of Chapel of the Holy Cross, then take a memorable drive along Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179), and then see Off-Road Tours.

Getting from Zion National Park to Sedona by car takes about 6.5 hours. Other options: fly; or do a combination of taxi and bus. Traveling from Zion National Park in May, Sedona is a bit warmer at night with lows of 54°F. On the 11th (Tue), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
