South Dakota's second-largest city, Rapid City has for many years served as a gateway to the West.
On the 22nd (Fri), view the masterpieces at Suzie Cappa Art Center and then pause for some serene contemplation at Chapel in the Hills. On the 23rd (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the waterfront views at Sylvan Lake, then take in the dramatic natural features at Needles Eye Tunnel, then stop by Alex Johnson Mercantile, and finally take a stroll through Downtown Rapid City.
