Kick off your visit on the 29th (Wed): take in the dramatic scenery at Munising Falls and then explore the wealth of natural beauty at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: kick back and relax at Sand Point Beach, admire the sheer force of Miners Falls, then explore the striking landscape at Miners Castle Rock, and finally try for a hole-in-one at Miners Falls Mini Golf.

Saint Ignace

Saint Ignace, usually written as St. Bring the kids along to Tahquamenon Falls State Park and Mackinac Bridge. Get out of town with these interesting Saint Ignace side-trips: Sault Ste. Marie (Water Street Historic Block, Museum Ship Valley Camp, &more), Oswald's Bear Ranch (in Newberry) and GarLyn Zoological Park (in Naubinway). There's more to do: get great views at Castle Rock and get engrossed in the history at Museum of Ojibwa Culture.

You can drive from Munising to Saint Ignace in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus. Expect a daytime high around 73°F in July, and nighttime lows around 58°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sun) to allow enough time to ride a ferry to Mackinac Island.
