Park City

Known globally as the home of the country's largest independent film festival, Park City finds its roots as an old silver boomtown located on the slopes of the Wasatch Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountains.
Kids will enjoy Backcountry Snowmobiling and Park City Mountain Resort. Change things up with these side-trips from Park City: Salt Lake City (Temple Square & Cathedral of the Madeleine) and North Forty Escapes (in Oakley). There's much more to do: fly down the slopes at Deer Valley Resort, tour the pleasant surroundings at Boulder Mountain Ranch at Deer Valley, and brush up on your knowledge of spirits at High West Distillery & Saloon.

Fort Myers to Park City is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus, train, and taxi. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Fort Myers to Park City. Expect cooler temperatures when traveling from Fort Myers in December; daily highs in Park City reach 35°F and lows reach 13°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Wed) early enough to travel to Bryce.

Serving as a gateway to the adjacent Bryce Canyon National Park, the tiny town of Bryce draws outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers all year round.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Thu): take in the dramatic natural features at Queen Victoria, trek along Navajo/Queens Garden Loop, and then enjoy breathtaking views from Bryce Point. On the 24th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the striking landscape at Wall Street, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Navajo Loop Trail, and then take some stellar pictures from Inspiration Point.

You can drive from Park City to Bryce in 4.5 hours. Another option is to do a combination of car and flight. Traveling from Park City in December, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Bryce, with lows of 8°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Fri) so you can travel to Moab.
