Stowe bustles in winter when skiers and snowboarders flock here to challenge themselves on the long, steep trails careening down Vermont's tallest peak, Mt.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Stowe: Shelburne Museum (in Shelburne) and Burlington (Church Street Marketplace, Burlington Bike Path, &more). And it doesn't end there: hike along Stowe Recreation Path, take a memorable drive along Smugglers Notch State Park, take in the awesome beauty at Spruce Peak at Stowe, and savor the flavors at Smugglers' Notch Distillery Tasting Room.

Minneapolis to Stowe is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Minneapolis to Stowe due to the time zone difference. In October in Stowe, expect temperatures between 60°F during the day and 39°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Quechee.

Bennington is a town in Bennington County, Vermont, in the United States. Venture out of the city with trips to Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home (in Manchester) and Vermont Country Store (in Weston). There's still lots to do: pause for some photo ops at Bennington Battle Monument, admire the masterpieces at Bennington Museum, stroll the grounds of The Old First Church, and take a memorable drive along Molly Stark Trail.
