The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
Kids will enjoy National Air and Space Museum and Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Antietam National Battlefield and Arlington National Cemetery. On the 16th (Mon), pause for some photo ops at 9/11 Memorial, then examine the collection at New York Public Library, and then take in the pleasant sights at Central Park.
