Salmon Capital of the World

The narrow city of Ketchikan clings to the bluffs that form Revillagigedo Island's southwestern shore.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Fri): trek along Deer Mountain Trail, see some colorful creatures with Snorkel Alaska, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Rotary Beach. Keep things going the next day: take an in-depth tour of Tongass Historical Museum, stop by The Rain Barrel, get a new perspective on nature at Southeast Alaska Discovery Center, then take in the exciting artwork at Scanlon Gallery, then see the interesting displays at Dolly's House Museum, and finally hike along Ketchikan Rainbird Trail.
