Get some cultural insight at Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center and Prince William Sound Museum. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Friends of Eagle River Nature and Hatcher Pass. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Anchorage: Independence Mine State Historical Park (in Palmer) and Glacier Jetski Adventures (in Whittier).
