One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
On the 27th (Sat), see the interesting displays at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures, then view the masterpieces at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and then take in the history at Mission San Xavier del Bac.

Anchorage to Tucson is an approximately 10.5-hour combination of car, flight, and shuttle. You can also do a combination of car and flight; or drive. Founded in 1877 as a mining camp, Tombstone became one of the most storied towns of the "Wild West." As one of the last frontier boomtowns in the United States, Tombstone prospered between 1880 and 1890, attracting cattle rustlers and outlaws.
On the 28th (Sun), see the interesting displays at Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park, contemplate the long history of The Tombstone Epitaph, and then make a trip to Allen Street.

Traveling from Grand Canyon National Park in May, things will get somewhat warmer in Prescott: highs are around 75°F and lows about 46°F.
