Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, the whole town of Eureka Springs is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Visit Thorncrown Chapel and Quigley's Castle for their historical value. There's much more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, pause for some photo ops at Christ of the Ozarks, and get thoroughly spooked out with a ghost and vampire tour.

Fayetteville is the third-largest city in Arkansas and county seat of Washington County. On the 17th (Wed), take in the spiritual surroundings of Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel, take an in-depth tour of Museum of Native American History, then get engrossed in the history at The Walmart Museum, then explore the world behind art at 21c Museum, and finally admire the masterpieces at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site and Riley Art Glass Studio.
