Philadelphia to Cape Carteret is an approximately 8-hour car ride. Traveling from Philadelphia in March, things will get somewhat warmer in Cape Carteret: highs are around 61°F and lows about 44°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Chincoteague Island.

Drive from Cape Carteret to Chincoteague Island in 5.5 hours. In March, Chincoteague Island is a bit cooler than Cape Carteret - with highs of 53°F and lows of 35°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
