Go for a jaunt from Chincoteague Island to Salisbury to see Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art about 58 minutes away. Spend the 6th (Wed) exploring nature at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. The adventure continues: get engrossed in the history at Museum of Chincoteague, examine the collection at Chincoteague Bay Field Station, contemplate the long history of Captain Timothy Hill House, and take in the exciting artwork at Tryfan Gallery.

Drive from Cape Carteret to Chincoteague Island in 5.5 hours. In March, Chincoteague Island is a bit cooler than Cape Carteret - with highs of 53°F and lows of 35°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
