Cedar Rapids — 4 nights

Cedar Rapids is the second largest city in Iowa and is the county seat of Linn County. Get out of town with these interesting Cedar Rapids side-trips: Galena (Blaum Bros. Distilling Co. & Ulysses S. Grant Home), A J's Copper Garden (in Amana) and Dubuque (Fenelon Place Elevator Co. & National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium). There's still lots to do: take an in-depth tour of Iowa 80 Trucking Museum, see the interesting displays at National Motorcycle Museum, and explore the landscape on two wheels at Grant Wood Bike Trail.

Towering cliffs of red, white, and pink Navajo sandstone, stream-carved slot canyons, and big blue sky all characterize Zion National Park.
Spend the 20th (Mon) exploring nature at Zion National Park. Spend the 21st (Tue) exploring nature at The Narrows. Next up on the itinerary: hike along Angel's Landing, cruise along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, admire all the interesting features of Zion Shuttle, and take some stellar pictures from Observation Point.
