Cheshire — 8 nights

Cheshire, formerly known as New Cheshire Parish, is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. Bring the kids along to Sleeping Giant State Park and Rowanwood Farm. Get out of town with these interesting Cheshire side-trips: Shelton (Indian Well State Park, Beardsley's Cider Mill & Orchard, &more), Derby (Osborne Homestead Museum, Derby Greenway, &more) and Bishop's Orchards (in Guilford). There's still lots to do: stroll around Southford Falls State Park, see the interesting displays at Barker Character Comic and Cartoon Museum, experience rural life at Drazen Orchards, and explore the activities along Lake Zoar.

Expect a daytime high around 85°F in July, and nighttime lows around 64°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
