Home of airplane pioneers the Wright brothers, Dayton prides itself on its inventors, including Charles F. Kettering, inventor of the automobile self starter.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Sat): explore the world behind art at Dayton Art Institute, have fun and explore at Carillon Historical Park, and then stroll the grounds of The Calvary Cemetery. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: steep yourself in history at Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center, then examine the collection at National Museum of the US Air Force, then examine the collection at National Aviation Hall of Fame, and finally stroll the grounds of Dayton National Cemetery.
