Estes Park

— 8 nights
More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Images of Rocky Mountain National Park and The Studio Fine Art and Framing. Get in touch with nature at Trail Ridge Road and Eldorado Canyon. Get out of town with these interesting Estes Park side-trips: Rabbit Mountain Open Space (in Longmont), The Beach at Grand Lake (in Grand Lake) and Granby Ranch (in Granby). And it doesn't end there: view the masterpieces at Aspen and Evergreen Gallery, stroll through Cub Lake Trail, contemplate the waterfront views at Lily Lake, and see the interesting displays at Red Rose Rock Shop & Dick's Rock Museum.

To find photos, reviews, where to stay, and tourist information, use the Estes Park trip planner.

In June, plan for daily highs up to 87°F, and evening lows to 54°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
