Nestled in the lush, wooded forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s premier mountain resort destination.
You've added Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Little Greenbrier School, Noah Bud Ogle Cabin, and other attractions to your itinerary. Take a break from the city and head to Roaring Fork and Walker Sisters' Cabin. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine and Cataloochee Valley. Explore Gatlinburg's surroundings by going to Cades Cove Museum (in Maryville) and River Rafting & Tubing (in Hartford). There's lots more to do: sample the fine beverages at Sugarlands Distilling Company, learn about winemaking at Smoky Mountain Winery, head outdoors with Place of A Thousand Drips, and try for a hole-in-one at Hillbilly Golf.

To find where to stay, other places to visit, ratings, and tourist information, read Gatlinburg trip planner.

The Route module shows you travel options from your home to Gatlinburg. April in Gatlinburg sees daily highs of 72°F and lows of 49°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Fri) early enough to go by car to Pigeon Forge.

Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Dollywood as well as Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction. On the 3rd (Fri), do a tasting at Mill Bridge Winery and then find something for the whole family at Dollywood. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the dramatic scenery at Abrams Falls Trail, admire the verdant scenery at Cades Cove, and then enjoy the dining and entertainment at Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction.
