Located near the memorial park marking the site of one of the largest Civil War battles, the town of Gettysburg sits in a landscape of rolling green hills with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.
Start off your visit on the 13th (Sat): take an in-depth tour of Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, then witness the site of a historic battle at Gettysburg National Military Park, and then explore the different monuments and memorials at Gettysburg National Cemetery. On the next day, appreciate the history behind Abraham Lincoln Statue, get to know the fascinating history of Shriver House Museum, then contemplate the long history of Jennie Wade House, then examine the collection at Gettysburg Museum of History, and finally take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback.
