Greenville is the county seat of Pitt County, principal city of the Greenville metropolitan area, and the 10th largest city in the state of North Carolina. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Duke University Chapel and Birthplace of Pepsi-Cola. Get out of town with these interesting Greenville side-trips: New Bern (Brewery99 & North Carolina History Center - Tryon Palace), Fort Macon State Park (in Atlantic Beach) and Raleigh (Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral, Pullen Park, & more). There's still lots to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Sarah P. Duke Gardens, examine the collection at Airborne and Special Operations Museum, putt your heart out at Captain Jack's Minature Golf, and make a trip to East Carolina University.

For where to stay, ratings, maps, and other tourist information, go to the Greenville day trip planning site .

In November, daily temperatures in Greenville can reach 63°F, while at night they dip to 40°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
