9 days in Houston & Kissimmee Itinerary

Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.

Explore Houston's surroundings by going to Pine Gully Park (in Seabrook) and Kemah Boardwalk (in Kemah). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Space Center Houston, explore the different monuments and memorials at Glenwood Cemetery, tee off at Hermann Park, and engage your brain at Cockrell Butterfly Center.

When traveling from Houston in July, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Kissimmee: temperatures range from 90°F by day to 75°F at night.
