Lafayette is a city located along the Vermilion River in southwestern Louisiana. Kick off your visit on the 28th (Fri): appreciate the extensive heritage of Acadian Village, get to know the fascinating history of Vermilionville, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Martin. Here are some ideas for day two: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of St Martin de Tours, then take in nature's colorful creations at Rip Van Winkle Gardens, then identify plant and animal life at Jungle Gardens, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St John the Evangelist.
