Glacier National Park — 2 nights

The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.
Glacier National Park is known for nature, scenic drive, and trails. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: take in the dramatic natural features at Grinnell Glacier, trek along Avalanche Lake, explore the activities along Swiftcurrent Falls, and cruise along Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Sacramento to Glacier National Park is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. The time zone changes from Pacific Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. In May, Glacier National Park is little chillier than Sacramento - with highs of 67°F and lows of 38°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) so you can drive to Helena.
