Oregon City is the county seat of Clackamas County, Oregon, United States, located on the Willamette River near the southern limits of the Portland metropolitan area. Mount Angel Abbey and Crown Point State Scenic Corridor will appeal to history buffs. Step out of the city life by going to Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge and Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Oregon City: Willamette National Forest (in Mill City), St. Mary's Catholic Church (in Mount Angel) and Cooper Mountain Nature Park (in Beaverton). On the 13th (Wed), admire all the interesting features of Beacon Rock, then delve into the lush surroundings at Wildwood Recreation Site, and then admire the sheer force of Little Zigzag Falls.
