Ogunquit means "beautiful place by the sea" in the language of the Native Americans who inhabited the region long ago, and this remains an accurate description of this holiday destination today.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Thu): look for all kinds of wild species at Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then kick back and relax at Wells Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: look for gifts at When Pigs Fly Company Store, then enjoy the sand and surf at Long Sands Beach, then kick back and relax at Short Sands Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Footbridge Beach.

Bar Harbor, Mount Desert Island

Bar Harbor is a town on Mount Desert Island in Hancock County, Maine, United States. On the 4th (Sun), take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Saviour's Church :, then add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour, then hike along Ocean Path, and finally take in the dramatic natural features at Thunder Hole. On the next day, explore the landscape on two wheels at Carriage Roads, hike along Bubble Rock, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Eagle Lake Acadia National Park.

A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
Take a break from the city and head to Art's Dune Tours and Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. We've included these beaches for you: Herring Cove Beach and Marconi Beach.
